Defence ministers of Lithuania and Poland agreed on Thursday to start new projects and acquisitions in air defence and develop the three-country brigade with Ukraine.
Regional security and the situation in Ukraine were also on the agenda of the meeting between Lithuania’s Defence Minister Juozas Olekas and his Polish counterpart, Tomasz Siemoniak, in Byalystok.
“The ministers agreed to proceed with the bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Poland, continue the existing projects and acquisitions and start new ones, especially in the field of air defence,” the Lithuanian Defense Ministry said in a press release.
The ministry did not specify any projects.
